Katherine Town Council is asking the community to help decide which local charity will receive the proceeds from the auction of the special KC 100 Centenary number plate.

The KC 100 plate is part of the limited-edition Centenary of Katherine 1926–2026 number plate series, developed through Council’s Centenary Advisory Committee to mark 100 years since Katherine was officially gazetted as a township.

Council reserved KC 100 to be auctioned during the Territory Day Centenary celebrations at the Katherine Showgrounds, with all proceeds donated to charity.

Katherine Town Council elected members have shortlisted three potential recipients:

  • RSPCA Katherine
  • National Trust
  • Katherine Museum

Now it is over to the community to choose which organisation will receive the funds.

The Centenary number plates feature the Katherine Railway Bridge, recognising its role in Katherine’s establishment and its lasting significance in the town’s history.

Voting is open through Your Say Katherine.

The organisation with the most votes will be named as the charity recipient before the KC 100 number plate auction.

Choose one of the three shortlisted organisations:

  • RSPCA Katherine
  • National Trust
  • Katherine Museum

Voting closes: 29th May 2026
